Summerwinds Music Camp at Western Washington University, August 6 – 11

August 06 – August 11, 2018

Presented by Western’s College of Fine and Performing Arts (CFPA), Summerwinds is a chamber music day camp for woodwind (flute, oboe, clarinet, and bassoon) players in grades 6-12 who have had at least two years of experience on their instruments. Students will be immersed in the joys of playing chamber music to help develop musical skills, discipline, leadership, self-confidence, creativity and a sense of community.

During the course of Summerwinds Music Camp, students will participate in small chamber groups, large ensemble playing, and individual master classes. All activities will take place in the Performing Arts Center on Western’s campus in a small group learning environment with WWU Department of Music faculty and additional professional musicians and coaching.
